Spring has officially sprung here in the Midwest but we true Minnesotans know that we cannot completely pack up our winter wardrobes quite yet. Check out these perfect transitional outfits that will help you re-purpose some of your winter pieces to look fresh and on trend with spring. Our first look {above} combines a few of our favorite spring trends. Floral patterns are all over the runway this season- but who says they have to be bright? This muted floral pattern is a perfect way to embrace the trend without being too literal. We suggest going neon with a bright accessory or purse. Although we all want to leave the house wearing minimal layers, Mother Nature doesn’t always agree. Pack up your fur-collared jacket and fight off these “April Showers” with a transitional lightweight trench coat like the one above from Roe Wolfe.
This spring, think outside the box and repurpose your everyday closet essentials by pairing this fun Lily + Violet cardigan with a brighter hue blouse. After all, what’s more playful than polka dots and pink? Now that you don’t have to worry about hiding every inch of skin from the frozen tundra, say goodbye to thick socks and leather boots {at least for now}! Let your feet breathe by trying out a pair of oxfords, loafers or d’orsay flats with ankle length pants.
For our last look, we paired a maxi skirt {a simple and comfortable spring staple} with a Style-Architects’ favorite, the chambray shirt. The beauty of the ultra-comfy and versatile chambray is that it’s perfect for all seasons, but can be worn in a variety of ways and really transform a look.
While we may not all have pedi-perfect toes yet, we can still rock this spring look with a pair of closed toe suede booties. Have fun with this by trying an eclectic pop-of orange or mint. After all, it IS Spring!
